PEG Tube or G Tube Placements
Patients who are unable to eat or drink through their mouth because of illnesses such as stroke or cancer will usually need to have a feeding tube, or percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy tube (PEG tube) inserted through the wall of their stomach, through which liquid nutrients are fed on a regular basis.
A PEG tube placement at NG Vascular & Vein Center is an outpatient procedure, so patients will return home the same day. During the procedure, the doctor will place a feeding tube through the patient’s skin into the stomach.
